ACCM has a bunch of events planned for AIDS Awareness Week. Some we are producing ourselves and others are a collaboration with other orgs. We have events for everyone in the community and others are only for members. We figured we should probably centralize all of these events in one place to make all of your lives easier.
So here we are! Below, you will find our events schedule for AIDS Awareness Week with all the details and links needed. We will be keeping this post up to date with the most current information, so feel free to bookmarks this page for future reference 😜.

Thursday, November 30, 7pm-11pm
Darling Bowling Alley 21
3350 Ontario Est, Montréal, Qc, H1W 1P7 (métro Joliette)
Inspired by legendary “Saint Sida” events hosted by the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, nocturnal animals Peaches LePoz and Mia Morcito invite you to turn your cell phones off and open yourself to real world encounters…
With Hochelaga-Maisonneuve’s beloved Darling Bowling Alley as our venue, QUILLES PARTY consists of two games in one: first the speed-dating. You’ll be provided with a pronoun badge and a series of ice-breaker questions before meeting each of the other participants – both HIV+ and not – one at a time for 3 magical minutes, timed by your hostesses. QUILLES PARTY is intended as a chance to cozy up to people in our community, with or without romantic possibilities, and with open hearts. Snacks from the Darling resto-bar will be served, and bowling lanes will be ours afterwards for those who wish to partake.
This is a FREE event presented by the SéroSyndicat and the Table des organismes communautaires Montréal de lutte contre le VIH/sida (TOMS), with the gracious support of the Montréal Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence.
Accessibility info: the Darling Salon de Quilles is located at basement level, which unfortunately has no elevator access. There are steps to get into the building on Ontario Street, then an inside stairwell to access the alley one floor down. For more information or for any accessibility requests, please contact Jordan at serosyndicat@gmail.com

December 1 – World AIDS Day Vigil 5 PM & ACCM Gathering 6:30 PM
The vigil is by TOMS and is open to all.
The ACCM gathering is for MEMBERS ONLY.
35th December 1st Vigil: HIV is everybody’s business, let’s celebrate the diversity of our communities!
To mark World AIDS Day, the vigil committee of the Table des organismes communautaires montréalais de lutte contre le VIH/sida (TOMS) invites you to join us at Parc de l’Espoir on December 1 at 5 p.m.
This year, the communities surveyed voted in favour of a vigil under the theme HIV is everyone’s business. Together, we will commemorate those who have died and celebrate those who are alive. We’ll remember where we’ve come from, the progress we’ve made and the gains we still have to make.
To make it easier for everyone to take part, we’re also offering a space to warm up in Centre St-Pierre, room 303, a stone’s throw from Parc de l’Espoir. Join us for a coffee or hot chocolate before the vigil! We’ll also be holding other events throughout the day, including a film discussion on the film 120 beats per minute (FR version), and a community supper. Check out the events to find out more!

We will meet at ACCM at 4:30 PM to head to the vigil together.
The vigil will be followed by an ACCM Gathering at our drop-in (MEMBERS ONLY), 2075 Plessis, at 6:30 PM, until 9 PM.
A time and space for us to reconnect and be together after such an emotional event. Snacks and beverages will be served.
