Volunteer Orientation

Uncategorized, ACCM

We’re trying out a new way of doing our volunteer orientation and it’ll now take place as a weekly workshop series rather than a weekend intensive.

Join us to learn about the basics of HIV and Hep C, as well as the lived experiences of people living with HIV and strategies for support and solidarity.
If you’re interested in dedicating some time to supporting our cause, we could certainly use your help!
Write Lana at volunteer@accmontreal.org to register.

All workshops take place on Wednesday nights from 6pm-9pm in the ACCM Drop-In (2075 Plessis). Here is the full schedule:

May 1st: Anti-Oppression
May 8th: HIV 101, HIV 201 and Hepatitis C 101
May 15th: Harm Reduction and Confidentiality
May 22nd: Trans 101
May 29th: Active Listening
June 5th: Testimonials

Our location has a ramp to enter and there are no stairs. We also have a button to open the front door. The washrooms are also accessible to folks who use wheelchairs and both are gender neutral.
