Artsida, AIDS Community Care Montreal’s signature art auction fundraiser, invites visual artists to submit artworks for its much-anticipated ninth edition at the Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal on February 3rd. All funds raised go towards ACCM’s support services for people living with HIV, as well as its sexual health programming for youth and at-risk communities.
Last year’s edition of Artsida drew over 400 attendees and raised $148,000 for ACCM’s programs and services. Artsida8 featured 62 works by 62 artists including Kent Monkman, Sandra Chevrier, Spazuk, Zilon, and Andrew Moncrief.
Artsida accepts visual art submissions of all formats from local, Canadian, and international artists. While there are no size restrictions, works within the dimensions of 24” x 36” may be prioritized by the curatorial committee. Each artist is allowed to submit a maximum of two pieces for consideration. The submission deadline is December 1, 2018 at 11:59 pm.
Artsida strongly encourages LGBTQ artists, trans and non-binary artists, artists of color, indigenous artists, and artists living with HIV or hepatitis C to submit artworks.
Artists will be informed of the Curatorial Committee’s decision in early December 2018.
