For this year’s 6th Trans March, Euphorie dans le Genre would like to bring forward the health and social services needs of trans and non-binary people, which are too often sidelined and ignored in a ciscentrist, colonial, ableist and sexist society. ACCM will be in attendance with our Kontak and Jeunes Queer Youth programs.
Wed 7th – Condom Packing Party
ACCM Drop-In, 1PM-8PM
We need your help to pack 16,000 condoms and lube packs that will be distributed at our Community Day booth. Any time you can give is greatly appreciated. Snacks, pizza and drinks will be served during the day. Come join us and bring your friends!
Wed 7th – HIV Howler Launch
SBC Gallery, 6PM-9PM
Panel discussion about HIV art and activism, specifically on print/publication. Will also include performance aspect and a private gallery viewing for community members.
Thu 8th – Jessica Whitbread: Queer Women, Parenting and HIV in the Time of U=U
L’Euguélionne, 5PM-7PM
In collaboration with feminist bookstore L’Euguélionne, ACCM will host an interactive presentation given by community organizer, artist, activist, and academic Jessica Whitbread, who will present on U=U (Undetectable = Untransmittable) in relation to sex, pregnancy, and breastfeeding.
Fri 9th – Kontak Night: Raffles & Sex Toys galore!
Bar Le Stud, 10PM-1AM
A legs worth of raffle tickets could win you Kontak gear, sex toys, lube and other fun kinky gear while benefiting Kontak harm reduction and safer sex programming. An outreach worker will be on site to answer sex-related questions on any topic from drug use and sex to kinks and fetishes.
Sat 10th – Jeunes Queer Youth (JQY) BBQ
Parc des Faubourgs, 6PM-8PM
This special Youth BBQ event is RESERVED for 14- to 25-year olds. This inclusive safer space is aimed at persons identifying as lesbian, gay, bisexual, pansexual, trans, non binary, intersex, queer, questioning, asexual and two-spirit as well as youth of colour and First Nations’ youth and all other young people with marginalized identities.
Sun 11th – Eat it & Beat it: Anti HIV Stigma Drag Brunch
Epik Restaurant, 11AM-2:30PM
ACCM is proud to continue the fight against stigma by hosting our very own Drag Brunch featuring kitchen staff and servers from the HIV community, including people living with HIV, people in serodiscordant couples, and HIV/AIDS activists. Our drag brunch will challenge stigmas and misconceptions around transmission and risk, while promoting increased community awareness and understanding.
Tue 13th – Bears & Bio-Beers: Come Rediscover Kontak
MistrBear, 4PM-7PM
Come have a beer with the fetish men of Montreal and see the rebranded visuals and updated programming of Kontaꓘ. All beer sales and proceeds from select items at Mistr Bear during this happy hour will go to support Kontaꓘ’s programming.
Sat 17th – Community Day
Ste-Catherine East, in front of MistrBear, 11AM -5PM
Stop by this year’s Community Day presence on Ste Catherines Street, in front of Mistr Bear. Come chat with staff and volunteers about all of ACCM’s programs and services and test your knowledge at our yearly sex trivia game.
Sun 18th – PrideWalk
Come join in the celebration with the ACCM PrideWalk. Look for our matching purple ACCM t-shirts! There are so many ways to celebrate: cheer us on from the sidelines or join the team and walk with us. As always, everyone is invited!
