25th Anniversary Event & Fundraising Assistant (6 month contract)

BOARD OF DIRECTORS:
Each year the membership of AIDS Community Care Montreal (ACCM) elects board members at its Annual General Meeting (AGM). This year the AGM will be held on the evening of Monday, June 4, 2012. There are currently five Board members who have reached their term, and we are seeking candidates to stand for election.
The role of the ACCM Board is to:
- Act as a governance committee for the organization;
- Be involved in the strategic planning and visioning for the future of the organization;
- Work collectively to ensure that the organizations’ goals are met; and
- Assist with fundraising activities.
No prior experience with ACCM is necessary, but the following skills and experiences will be considered assets:
- Involvement in the Montreal community and AIDS service organizations;
- Managerial and conflict resolution skills;
- Legal skills;
- Fundraising skills; and
- Knowledge about HIV and AIDS.
People living with HIV and/or AIDS are encouraged to seek election.
Interested in knowing more about what being an ACCM board member entails? An informational Dinner & Discussion will be held at ACCM’s Drop-In on Monday, May 14, 2012 at 6pm. The address of the Drop-In is the basement of 2075 Plessis (use the side door).
